FKA Twigs Returns With New Single Cellophane, Announces May London Show

FKA Twigs has returned with a new single.
Cellophane is the first new offering from the musician, artist and dancer since her 2016 short film Soundtrack 7, which features footage from her dance performance at the 2015 Manchester International Festival and includes tracks from 2013's 'EP 2' and her 2016 single Good To Love.
The new song is a soulful, piano-led ballad, during which she delivers an impressively intimate vocal performance. Cellophane comes complete with an otherworldly video that begins with a captivating pole dance. Introducing it online, she said:
"when I wrote cellophane over a year ago a visual narrative came to me immediately, I knew I had to learn how to pole-dance to bring it to life, and so that’s what I did. thank you andrew, for elevating my vision beyond words. you are a visionary. kelly, thank you for being with me every step of the way on my precious pole yellow brick road. working with you both on this is a dream come true. "
Alongside the new track, FKA Twigs has also announced shows in Los Angeles, Berlin, Sydney, and London, where she'll play Alexandra Palace on May 28. Tickets go on general sale at 5pm (GMT) on April 29. The artwork that accompanies the dates have set tongues wagging that a new album is on the way and could be called 'Magdalene'.
FKA Twigs released 'LP 1', her debut album and only full-length to date, in 2014.
