Madonna Continues To Tease 'Madame X' LP With New Single I Rise

Friday, 03 May 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

Madonna has shared another track from her new album, 'Madame X'.

The rousing I Rise promptly follows up the record's title track, which features Maluma. The follow up to 2015's 'Rebel Heart' is due out on June 14 and also finds the pop legend collaborating with Quavo and Swae Lee, while also featuring production by Mirwais, Mike Dean and Diplo, among others.

Head below to check out the new song. It's an alt-pop number incorporating a plethora of influences, with samples, synths, electronic beats, and guitar all working together to accompany the singer's inspiring lyrics. She said:

“I wrote ‘I Rise’ as a way of giving a voice to all marginalized people who feel they don’t have the opportunity to speak their mind. This year is the 50th anniversary of Pride and I hope this song encourages all individuals to be who they are, to speak their minds and to love themselves.”
