Lewis Capaldi Releases New Single Hold Me While You Wait

Lewis Capaldi has released a new single.
Hold Me While You Wait is the latest to be lifted from his debut album, 'Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent', which is out on May 17.
The track is another earworm ballad led by piano, though it's a more wide-ranging affair than his previous number one single Someone You Loved. Guitars, strings and choral vocals fill the spaces in between his gravelly pop performance. He said:
"Hold Me While You Wait is a song I wrote about the uncertainty of being in a relationship when your partner isn’t sure what they want. There’s an impending hopelessness to the whole thing, on both sides, when they’re not sure whether they want to be in that relationship or not. For me it’s one of the most desperate places you can find yourself in.”
The Scottish singer-songwriter has a huge amount of shows on the horizon. He will follow up spring and summer festival sets with a winter UK and Ireland tour, while next year finds him heading out on a UK and Ireland arena trek in March. Check below for dates and tickets.
