SG Lewis Releases New Single Flames Featuring Ruel

Friday, 10 May 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

SG Lewis has released a new single.

Flames features 16-year old Australian breakthrough artist Ruel and follows previously shared Clairo collaboration Throwaway as the third single in previewing ’Dawn’, the third and final chapter of Lewis’ three-part concept album, ’Dusk, Dark, Dawn’, out soon via PMR/Virgin. The project began last year and chronicles a night out through its different moods and genres. He said:

"I was put onto Ruel’s music about 18th months ago, and watching his growth since then has been amazing. He’s got such soul to his voice for someone of his age, it’s crazy. Flames is the final preview of ’Dawn’ before the whole thing drops, and I can’t wait to share the whole thing."

The new track twins wavy electronic vibes with Ruel’s soulful voice and comes alongside the announcement of his biggest headline show to date at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on February 1, with tickets for the show on sale now. He also tours North America in September and October.

SG Lewis Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Sat February 01 2020 - LONDON O2 Academy Brixton

The Chemical Brothers - No Geography (Album Review)
Tue 16 Apr 2019
In the 1990s—along with Fatboy Slim and the Prodigy—the Chemical Brothers popularised a particular brand of big beat electronica that ran adjacent to, and sometimes intertwined with, the pompously termed Intelligent Dance Music movement. Their ninth studio album, ‘No Geography’ boldly revisits this sound, updating it thematically while combining many of the compositional elements brilliantly. The result is probably their best album since 2002’s ‘Come With Us’.
