Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno Teams Up With Little Simz For Debut Solo Single

Wednesday, 15 May 2019 Written by Helen Payne

Serge Pizzorno has teamed up with Little Simz for his debut solo single.

The Kasabian guitarist launched his new project, the S.L.P, by collaborating with the London rapper on Favourites. It's a blend of seemingly ill-fitting genres from the indie-rock hero. There’s a groove-filled, almost hip hop skewed bassline, a choir of British lad-rock shouts, a grime-influenced synth refrain and a dirty chorus that questions “where do I fit into this?”.

It’s an explosive song that sheds bizarre sounding shrapnel all over the place, but in the best way. Listen below.

Kasabian last released ‘Crying Out Loud’ in 2017, while Little Simz put out her latest album, ‘GREY Area’, in March and will support it with shows across the UK, US and Europe this year. Tickets to her recently announced winter UK dates go on sale on May 17 at 10am.
