88-Keys Shares New Track That's Life Featuring Sia and the late Mac Miller

Thursday, 20 June 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

88-Keys has released his new single.

That's Life features vocals from the Sia and Mac Miller, with the late rapper being given the lion's share. It's the second posthumous material of Miller's to surface, the first being his contribution to the new Free Nationals track Time, which also featured Kali Uchis.

The song, which brings together elements of hip hop, jazz and blues, is 88-Keys' first new offering since the release of his 'In The Morning' EP in 2017.

It finds Miller delivering candid lyrics — "how many times you had to buy a plan b for a girl you never bring back home to meet your family" — while accompanied by uplifting backing singers, keys and a playful bassline and brass section.

Sia, meanwhile, provides a powerhouse performance during her regret-filled verse before pulling things back for the final chorus.

Miller died on September 7, 2018 aged 26 from an alleged accidental overdose.
