Skunk Anansie Release New Single What You Do For Love

Friday, 05 July 2019 Written by Laura Johnson

Skunk Anansie have released a new single, What You Do For Love.

The track is the band's first new offering since the release of their 2016 album 'Anarchytecture'. They also put out the live LP '25LIVE@25' in January to mark their 25th anniversary.

They'll continue the celebrations with a UK tour of the same name later this summer, which kicks off with a headline set at Beautiful Days Festival in Devon on August 16 and a show at the O2 Academy Brixton in London the following day.

Speaking about the dramatic rock track, vocalist Skin said:

“The hardest songs to write are political ones which is why we always try to avoid them. They’re supposed to just instantaneously spill out of you due to pure vexation, or they sound insincere and you fall into tired old clichés. This is one of those moments of rage! Love always seems to be the reason why people do hateful things, which I’ve never been able to understand.”
