Alessia Cara Shares New Song October Ahead Of 'The Summer' EP Release

Alessia Cara has shared the latest single from her upcoming EP, 'The Summer'.
October is about a relationship coming to an end and follows previously shared Rooting For You and Ready in previewing the release, which is scheduled to arrive on September 6 via DefJam, the same day the singer concludes her current tour supporting Shawn Mendes.
Discussing the inspiration behind the melancholic song, produced by Jon Levine and Midi Jones, and written by Levine and Cara, in an Instagram post the latter said:
"I wrote this song about a very recent period of time in which I felt more aligned than I ever have. It's about healing and discovering that some feelings are as beautiful as they are inevitably fleeting. So much so that I wanted to encapsulate these ones before they were gone."
This autumn Cara headlines shows in North America on her Pains Of Growing Tour. The trek takes its name from her second album, which came out in November 2018.
