The vocals for Animal were recorded by St. Vincent, who also produced the band's recently released new album 'The Center Won't Hold', with both featuring former drummer Janet Weiss, who left the band this summer.
Discussing the fiercely forthright new track, vocalist and bassist Corin Tucker said:
“ANIMAL is a song about rebellion, retaliation and rage. It is a song about letting go of all politeness and filters and letting the ‘animal’ side speak. The vocals for this song were recorded in St. Vincent’s home studio, a perfect place to unleash a voice like this.”
The band will support their new record with a fall North American tour and spring European tour, with the latter including shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin. Head below for dates and ticket details.
