Kele Okereke has released a new single.
Between Me And My Maker is the second cut from his new solo album ‘2042’, following up last month's Jungle Bunny. Slower paced than its Afro-pop predecessor, the new track builds upon a bold folk-rock riff inspired by traditional Celtic melodies, getting heavier and more dramatic after the halfway point. In the final third, the mood switches entirely to an atmospheric, experimental take on synth-pop.
The Bloc Party frontman’s fourth solo LP is due on November 8 via his own KOLA label.
