Jethro Tull To Take The Prog Years Tour Across The UK In Autumn 2020

Jethro Tull have announced The Prog Years Tour.
The band will head to intimate venues in Aylesbury, Leicester, Blackburn, Perth, Glasgow, Stoke, Brighton, Poole, Reading, Bath and London, where they'll play the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, between September 30 and October 13. Tickets go on sale at 9am on November 6.
Discussing how they'll be performing material from their more prog records, as well as their earlier and classic albums, frontman Ian Anderson said:
“Dusting off many older ‘progressive’ songs amongst my earliest attempts to experiment outside the blues repertoire we began with has proved hugely enjoyable. Along the way, over the last 50 years, there have been a good few pieces that still strongly resonate with me today on either a musical or lyrical level. Hopefully both. Some are really tricky to play; some might sound that way but fall under the fingers quite naturally although the overall arrangements require feats of memory! Test my marbles; come to the party!”
