Modest Mouse have shared a new song.

Ice Cream Party clocks in at over six minutes and follows the Washington alt-rockers' previously shared Record Store Day 7" Poison The Well, which featured b-side I’m Still Here. The band's last studio album, meanwhile, was 2015's 'Strangers To Ourselves'.

Despite it's cheery title, Ice Cream Party is more moody than upbeat. It comes with an official Modest Mouse ice cream, available from a Portland ice cream shop, the location of which was shared by the band on Reddit earlier this week.

The band wrap up their current North American tour with the Black Keys on November 24 in Vancouver. They also have a handful of headline dates in the diary for December.

Modest Mouse Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Sat December 07 2019 - EUGENE Oregon - Mcdonald Theatre (USA)
Sun December 08 2019 - RENO Nevada - Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (USA)
Tue December 10 2019 - SANTA ROSA California - Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (USA)
Wed December 11 2019 - LAS VEGAS Nevada - Brooklyn Bowl - Las Vegas (USA)
Sat December 14 2019 - ASPEN Colorado - Belly Up Aspen (USA)

Cold War Kids - New Age Norms 1 (Album Review)
Wed 20 Nov 2019
With the economics of the music industry in a prolonged state of flux, bands have found new ways to get by. Cold War Kids, who burst onto the American indie scene with ‘Robbers and Cowards’ in 2006, have decided to release three short albums instead of one full LP. ‘New Age Norms 1’ is the first in that series and to longtime fans the results will be pleasing.
