The Smashing Pumpkins Confirm Spring Dates For US Rock Invasion 2 Tour

The Smashing Pumpkins will embark on a US tour this spring.
The legendary alt-rock band will hit intimate venues in Louisville, Nashville, Memphis, Atlanta, and more for the Rock Invasion 2 Tour, a sequel to their 1993 trek of the same name. The run also includes festival appearances at Beale Street Music Festival and Shaky Knees Music Festival. Tickets for headline dates go on general sale at 10am on March 6
Following the trek, Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, James Iha and Jeff Schroeder, with bassist Jack Bates, will go on to support Guns N' Roses at stadium shows in July. Corgan said:
"It's been a good while since we've played a straight up, bare-knuckle rock and roll show; one that avoids little in the way of raw power. So note: this tour won't be for those faint of heart, and will certainly echo the dynamic modes in which we built our live reputation."
The Smashing Pumpkins' latest album, the Rick Rubin-produced 'Shiny And Oh So Bright Vol. 1/ LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun', arrived in November 2018.
