Squid have shared a new song.
The frantic, percussion-heavy Sludge marks the Brighton post-punks' first release on new label Warp Records since signing in late 2019.
It follows their 'Town Centre' EP that came out last September, and was originally conceived during soundcheck jams while the band were on the road opening for Wire. They once again enlisted Dan Carey to handle production duties.
"Our first release through Warp is Sludge. We've been playing Sludge for a while so some of you might be familiar with it," said the band. "It was kind of written about self-isolation before it was a government enforced lifestyle. We don’t really want to say much else about it, other than we hope you like it."
