A Day To Remember Post New Single Mindreader

Wednesday, 15 April 2020 Written by Sophie Williams

A Day To Remember have shared a new single.

The anthemic Mindreader follows on from the previously released Resentment and Degenerates, marking the third track to be taken from the American metalcore group's upcoming seventh album, 'You're Welcome', which is still awaiting an official release date.

Arriving with a detailed animated clip directed by the Atlanta-based Awesome Incorporated, the single harks back to the band's post-hardcore roots, placing frontman Jeremy McKinnon's gritty vocals atop a driving guitar lead, before culminating in a chanting breakdown.

Speaking of Mindreader, McKinnon said:  “We’ve had this video done for some time now, and seeing as how our album isn’t out yet and the state of the world is keeping us off the road, we wanted to get some new material out there for our fans as soon as possible. This song was one of my personal favorites off the new album from the day it was written. I wrote it with the incredibly talented Mike Green. Fun fact, it was the first song I’ve ever sent the guys in the band that was unanimously loved."

A Day To Remember recently postponed their spring headline UK tour due to the coronavirus pandemic, with new dates yet to be announced. Keep up to date in real time with new information via Stereoboard.
