Raleigh Ritchie Announces Second Album 'Andy', Shares New Single Aristocrats

Wednesday, 06 May 2020 Written by Laura Johnson

Raleigh Ritchie has announced his second album.

The actor and musician's follow-up to his 2016 debut 'You're a Man Now, Boy' is called 'Andy' — the nickname he inherited from his grandfather — and will arrive on June 26 through Alacran Records. He said:

"Andy is a little wink to myself. It’s saying, this is you speaking right now, this is you saying what you have to say.”

The twelve-track project will include the previously released single Time In A Tree and the new track Aristocrats, a rich R&B offering with a majestic string accompaniment. Head below to check it out, alongside the record's artwork and tracklist. Discussing the song's self-directed video, Ritchie said:

“British history is complicated, especially as a POC. And history is everything, it’s what we learn from to help us build our future. In school I didn’t learn much about British history aside from the country’s victories and a version of some of it’s atrocities. Sometimes it’s a confusing place, and although I love my country, I don’t always feel loved by it. With this video I wanted to explore this and my relationship to my own history and the history of those who came before me.”

'Andy' tracklist:

1.  Pressure
2.  Time in a Tree
3.  Aristocrats
4.  Party Fear
5.  Worries
6.  STFU
7.  27 Club
8.  Sadboi
9.  Shadow
10.  Structure (Interlude)
11.  Squares
12.  Big & Scared
