Wolf Alice (pictured), Slowthai, and Machine Gun Kelly are among the new additions to the line up for Reading and Leeds.

Following its cancellation this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the event will return to Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park over 2021’s August bank holiday weekend. To celebrate its come back, the festival has added a second main stage to each site, meaning they are able to host six headliners: Stormzy, Liam Gallagher, Post Malone, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Disclosure, and Queens of the Stone Age.

Melvin Benn, Managing Director of Festival Republic said: “After an absence of a year we are delighted to announce the 2021 return to Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Leeds’ Bramham Park in 2021 with our most epic plan yet. Two main stages, six headliners, the best line up of acts 2021 will see and 200,000 fans are going to celebrate the best music in the best music festivals in Britain.”

First staged in 1961, Reading is the original of the two festivals and is the world's oldest popular music festival still in existence. The bill always guarantees a diverse range of acts, including the finest in rock, punk, indie, metal, and more recently electronic artists and rap, from around the world.
