Wednesday, 07 October 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

A career-spanning the White Stripes compilation will be released this winter.

'The White Stripes Greatest Hits' is set to arrive on December 4 via Jack White's Third Man Records and consists of 26 tracks available on CD, double vinyl and digitally.

A deluxe, limited edition red and white coloured vinyl version will also be available as part of Third Man's vault subscription series. A tracklist has not yet been revealed.

To mark the news, a never-before-seen live performance of Ball And Biscuit has been dug up and shared from the garage-rock duo's archives. It was filmed at Shibuya-AX in Tokyo, Japan on October 22, 2003. Take a look below.

The White Stripes, comprising Jack and Meg White, announced their break-up in 2011. Their sixth and final LP, 'Icky Thump', dropped in 2007. Jack has since put out three solo records, 2012's 'Blunderbuss', 2014's 'Lazaretto' and 2018's 'Boarding House Reach', alongside his work with the Dead Weather and the Raconteurs.
