Napalm Death, Converge And Megadeth Supergroup Blood From The Soul Detail 'DSM-5' LP, Post New Song

Wednesday, 14 October 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Blood From The Soul have announced a new LP.

The band — Shane Embury of Napalm Death, Jacob Bannon of Converge, Dirk Verbeuren of Megadeth and Jesper Liveröd of Nasum — originally started life 27 years ago after Embury linked up with Lou Koller, frontman of hardcore legends Sick Of It All. They dropped 'To Spite The Gland That Bleeds' in 1993 and nobody heard from them again, until now.

Returning with a new line up, the rebooted project's conceptual 'DSM-5' is due out digitally on November 13 via Deathwish Records, with a physical release to be announced in due course.

Written from the perspectives of human beings and sentient machines, it'll feature the newly shared Debris Of Dreams, a heavy and jarring track that offers up cutting melodies and industrial guitar riffs.

Napalm Death, meanwhile, recently put out their 16th studio album, 'Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism'.

'DSM-5' tracklist:

1. Fang Tooth Claw
2. Ascend The Spine
3. Calcified Youth
4. Debris Of Dreams
5. Dismantle The Titan
6. Encephalon Escape
7. Subtle Fragment
8. Terminal Youth
9. Sharpened Heart
10. Self Deletion
11. Lurch Of Loss
12. DSM-5
