Bright Eyes Release New Track Miracle Of Life Featuring Phoebe Bridgers

Bright Eyes have posted a new track featuring Phoebe Bridgers.
The harmony-heavy, lyrically intense Miracle Of Life carries an emotional charge, as understated melodies provide a platform for frontman Conor Oberst and Bridgers to sing for abortion rights in the US. Listen below.
The powerful song has been released as a Bandcamp exclusive in aid of Planned Parenthood, an American not-for-profit organisation that provides reproductive and sexual healthcare across the country. Oberst said:
“This song should not exist in 2020 America. It is a protest song, I guess. Or maybe just a little story about what was, what still is in many parts of the world and what could be again here in this country if the GOP is successful in reshaping the Supreme Court and rolling back all of the hard fought progress made for reproductive rights in the last 50 years. Hopefully, if we all work together and vote, it will make this song sound as irrelevant and outdated as it should.”
In August, the indie-folk band dropped ‘Down In the Weeds, Where the World Once Was’, their first full-length effort since 2011’s ‘The People’s Key’. They are set to support the new LP with a rescheduled UK and Ireland tour in August and September 2021. Remaning tickets are available now.
Bridgers, meanwhile, put out her second studio album ‘Punisher’ in June.
