Riz Ahmed Posts New Song Once Kings, Announces The Long Goodbye Livestream Show

Riz Ahmed has shared a new song, Once Kings.
Following on from this spring's 'The Long Goodbye', the intimate track was produced by Ben Khan with CID RIM and finds the musical artist and actor rapping over a simple, subdued beat.
Head below to check out the accompanying Myriam Raja-directed video which features clips from the new film Mogul Mowgli, out now. Ahmed explained:
"This is the most personal track I have ever made, drawn from the same experiences that inspired the film Mogul Mowgli. It’s about events forcing you to face what really matters; fame or family, success or spirituality, the pressure and desire to represent your people or the need to preserve your own health and well being.
"I think a lot of people can relate to this feeling of re-thinking their priorities, during this pandemic."
The 37-year-old has also shared details of a livestream performance of 'The Long Goodbye' on December 19. The broadcast will serve as a companion piece to the live stage show that was due to premiere in Manchester this March before the COVID-19 pandemic led to its postponement.
