Bingley Weekender has been rescheduled to 2022 due to COVID-19.

Pixies (pictured), Rag'n'Bone Man, and the Libertines are confirmed as headliners for the rearranged second instalment of the Yorkshire festival, which will take over Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club next August.

The event was due to go ahead this summer after 2020's event was cancelled during the lockdown. In a statement, the organisers said they, along with other independent festivals, had been "waiting for a UK government-backed COVID insurance policy which has not arrived".

"Without insurance of this kind, we can't make all of the financial commitments that we need to," they added.

"Also, with the unpredictability of new variants and the UK's delayed reopening date, the festival this year is just too much of a risk for us to take."

Other acts confirmed to perform include The Amazons, Peter Hook and the Light, White Lies and The Slow Readers Club.
