Eddie Vedder has shared two new songs.

The Pearl Jam vocalist performed Matter Of Time and an updated version of Say Hi as part of a digital fundraising event titled Venture Into Cures on November 18, organised by Vedder and his wife Jill, co-founders of the Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Partnership (EBRP).

The former is a beautifully moving and impassioned piano-based track that comes paired with an animated music video directed by Matt Finlin and Jeff Lemire. The latter, meanwhile, is a powerful acoustic guitar offering originally written for a six-year-old called Eli Meyer. Vedder has performed the song over the years but never formally released it.

The broadcast was set up with the aim of educating viewers about the life-threatening genetic disorder and raise funds for research towards a cure.

"Ed and I are incredibly grateful to everyone joining us for Venture Into Cures," said Jill. "Every day kids with EB and their families face astonishing challenges. This event will give people a glimpse into their world. EBRP’s mission is to find a cure for EB, and this event will help bring us one step closer to making that mission a reality by adding momentum to the work being done."

Michael Hund, CEO of EBRP, added: "Our team is dedicated to accelerating life-saving treatments for patients and families battling EB, and Venture Into Cures offers us the opportunity to involve more people in our mission than ever before. Together, we will heal EB, and in the process, pioneer an innovative model for all rare diseases."

Matter Of Time and Say Hi are available now via streaming platforms, with a limited edition 7" vinyl available for pre-order. In the meantime, hear the songs and watch the star-studded Venture Into Cures livestream below.
