Duran Duran To Return As Headliners For London BST Hyde Park Concert Series In 2021

Duran Duran have confirmed a BST Hyde Park show for next summer.
The British pop icons will perform their first London show in six years and only London show of 2021 on July 11, joined by special guests Nile Rodgers and CHIC, and Grace Jones. More acts are still to be announced.
The group were due to top the bill in 2020, but the festival did not take place due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Vocalist Simon Le Bon said:
"We are so happy to announce the new date for our return to Hyde Park. This will be our first London show in six years and we are honoured that two of our musical heroes Nile Rodgers and Grace Jones will be joining us on the bill. Seeing as we had to postpone the 2020 show, BST Hyde Park 2021 will be extra special to us. After the year that everyone's been through, we're aiming to make next summer into the kind of party we all deserve."
Tickets go on general sale at 9am on December 4, and fans who purchased tickets to the band's cancelled 2020 performance are guaranteed tickets if they rebook.
Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor are expected to drop the follow-up to 2015's 'Paper Gods' in 2021, when they'll continue their 40th anniversary celebrations with a date at Scarborough Open Air Theatre, a rescheduled gig at Dublin's St. Anne's Park and headline appearances at the Isle of White Festival and Lytham Festival.
Already revealed for the BST Hyde Park 2021 line up are Pearl Jam, who will be joined by Pixies on July 9 and Idles on July 10. Tickets are already on sale.
