Cradle Of Filth Share Details Of New Album 'Existence Is Futile'

Wednesday, 03 February 2021 Written by Laura Johnson

Cradle Of Filth have announced a new album.

The follow-up to 2017's 'Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness of Decay' is called 'Existence Is Futile' and was recorded at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk with producer Scott Atkins — the same as its predecessor.

It will be represented by artwork from Arthur Berzinsh, who was also responsible for the covers of 'Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness of Decay' and 'Hammer of the Witches'.

The new record will feature a new, currently unnamed keyboardist/backing singer, and is set to arrive later this year through Nuclear Blast Records, though an exact date has not yet been confirmed. Frontman Dani Filth said:

"The stunning new album is everything you can expect from the many shades of black that go to discolour a CRADLE OF FILTH release and far, far, worse."

Alongside news of the album, the extreme metal band have announced the postponement of their livestream event from St. Mary's Church in Colchester to May 12. Head here for further details.
