Alkaline Trio, Frank Turner, Funeral For A Friend Among New Additions To Slam Dunk Line Up

Friday, 18 June 2021 Written by Laura Johnson

Even more acts have joined the line up for the rescheduled Slam Dunk Festival.

Following an update from the UK government on when mass gatherings will be allowed to come back, Slam Dunk will now go ahead at Temple Newsam Park in Leeds on September 4 and Hatfield Park in Hertfordshire on September 5, instead of during the May bank holiday. Original tickets remain valid for the rearranged gigs.

Slam Dunk have retained the majority of the acts intended for the postponed May line up, with Sum 41 and Don Broco returning as headliners. Among the latest additions to the bill are Alkaline Trio (pictured), Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, and Funeral For A Friend. Festival Director Ben Ray said:

“We’ll be celebrating Slam Dunk Festival’s 15th Anniversary in September and I’m so happy these newly announced artists will be joining us! Although the re-opening date has moved to July, we are even more confident that the festival will go ahead this year, thanks to the positive news from the test events and the rapid vaccination program taking place.  With the overwhelming support shown by our fans who have kept a hold of their tickets and those who have bought tickets recently too, we know how important it is that we do our best to deliver a brilliant show this September.”
