Reggae Legend Bunny Wailer Dies Aged 73

Tuesday, 02 March 2021 Written by Jon Stickler

Neville Livingstone, popularly known as Bunny Wailer, has died aged 73.

The reggae legend, who was the last surviving member of the iconic group The Wailers, passed away on Tuesday March 2 in Jamaica, according to his manager Maxine Stowe.

Stowe confirmed that Livingstone died at the Medical Associates Hospital in Kingston, though no cause of death was given. Reports reveal that he had been in and out of the hospital since suffering a second stroke in July 2020.

The three-time Grammy winner formed the original Wailers trio in 1963 with the late Bob Marley — who died from cancer in 1981 — and Peter Tosh, who was murdered during a robbery in 1987. Livingstone was given Jamaica's Order Of Merit in 2017.
