Primus Reschedule A Tribute To Kings North American Tour

Primus have announced the rescheduled dates for their North American A Tribute To Kings Tour.
After postponing the trek in late 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the band will now kick off the run on August 10 in Boise, Idaho and conclude it in Phoenix, Arizona on October 25. Original tickets will stay valid, with the remainder on sale now.
The shows will see Primus run through Rush's 1977 LP, 'A Farewell To Kings', in full, as well as playing some of their own music. Frontman Les Claypool said in a statement:
"Finally, the clouds are parting, the planets are aligning, the dough is rising…whatever metaphor floats your preverbal boat, Primus is going on tour again. We were poised and ready for a massive, bent-rock extravaganza when the gremlins of covid came and yanked the rug out from under us all. I personally have been climbing the walls like a shit-house rat and, after my first season off in 30 some odd years, I’m very anxious and excited to stand in front of the microphone with my four string piece of furniture and belt out some girthy ditties to sweaty throngs of punters."
He added: "Due to international travel advisories, Toronto, ON is cancelled as we work to make new plans across multiple Canadian cities in 2022. Lafayette, NY and Minneapolis, MN were also unfortunately not able to fit into our immediate plans and have been cancelled. Refunds will be issued from point of purchase."
Wolfmother will open all gigs, with The Sword joining the bill at select concerts. Unfortunately, their stops in Toronto, Lafayette and Minneapolis have been cancelled, with ticket holders advised to contact their point of purchase for a refund.
