Coldplay have announced a new single, Higher Power.
The news confirms recent speculation sparked by a number of cryptic billboards that emerged around the world pointing to a website called alienradio.fm. Fans have since deciphered the mysterious online letter-like symbols to reveal the song's title and release date.
The band took to social media earlier today (April 29) to confirm the track's arrival on May 7 through Parlophone/Atlantic Records. They wrote:
"Higher Power is a song that arrived on a little keyboard and a bathroom sink at the start of 2020. It was produced by Max Martin who is a true wonder of the universe. It’s out on Friday 7 May. Love c, g, w & j."
Coldplay's last full-length was 'Everyday Life', released in 2019.
