Damon Albarn has announced his second solo album.

'The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows' is due for release on November 12 and will arrive via his new label home at Transgressive Records. Albarn said: “I have been on my own dark journey while making this record and it led me to believe that a pure source might still exist.”

The record's title is taken from the John Clare poem Love and Memory, while the music was initially meant to be an orchestral piece inspired by the landscapes of Iceland, but the COVID-19 lockdown saw things take a turn to encompass numerous themes, including loss and rebirth.

Head below to check out the album's title track, artwork and tracklist.
