Caroline Polachek Returns With New Single Bunny Is A Rider

Caroline Polachek is back with a new single.
Bunny Is A Rider marks the former Chairlift singer's first original music since her 2019 debut solo album, 'Pang', though she dropped a cover of The Corrs track Breathless last December and more recently remixed A.G. Cook's Oh Yeah.
Unfurling around a deep bassline from producer Danny L Harle, and layers of twitchy percussive instrumentation, the track is a slight stylistic departure from the more dreamy, indie-pop of Polachek's previous material. Discussing it, she said:
"Bunny Is A Rider is a summer jam about being unavailable. Bunny is slippery, impossible to get ahold of. Maybe it’s a fantasy, maybe it’s a bad attitude. But anyone can be bunny, at least for three minutes and seventeen seconds. The song features a scorching bass performance from producer Danny L Harle, plus his baby daughter's first vocal cameo."
Polachek will play previously announced headline shows in Los Angeles on August 5, London on October 28, and New York on December 2. She's also set to appear at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York, and Outside Lands in San Francisco.
