Public Service Broadcasting have released a new song.

Blue Heaven features vocals from Andreya Casablanca, from the Berlin band Gurr, and serves as the latest preview of the London-based band's upcoming album, 'Bright Magic', due out on September 24 through Play It Again Sam.

The follow-up to 2017's 'Every Valley' was penned and recorded at the legendary Hansa Tonstudio facility in Berlin, Germany, where David Bowie made 'Low' and 'Heroes', and where U2 tracked 'Acthung Baby'.

The track, meanwhile, keeps the Berlin theme running and was inspired by the life of Marlene Dietrich, who was, according to the group's J. Willgoose, Esq. "a self-made myth to come out of Berlin." He added:

"The lyrics highlight her power of self-manipulation, her ambition, her bravery and her lack of compromise on vital matters of character - 'I am all my own invention / I'm in my blue heaven' and so on. It's named after the jazz number My Blue Heaven which she sang regularly and which she said first made her dream of America."

Offering up Casablanca's brooding vocals over a dreamy production that builds in intensity, Blue Heaven comes with an Alex Southam-directed video capturing the tune's cathartic energy through a performance from German dancer and choreographer Celine Fortenbacher. It follows the previously unveiled cut People, Let's Dance.

Public Service Broadcasting will support the LP's release with a UK and European tour this autumn, with Irish dates following in early 2022. Tickets are on sale now.
