Metallica have revealed two more tracks from their 'The Metallica Blacklist' covers album.

The latest contributions come in the form of Weezer's version of Enter Sandman and singer Tomi Owó's take on Through The Never.

The former stays pretty faithful to the original, with Rivers Cuomo and band throwing in a subtle nod to their own hit, Buddy Holly. The latter, meanwhile, is a chilled, slow-burning revamp that oscillates between soul, jazz and R&B. Metallica have also unveiled a previously unreleased live version of Through The Never from 1992.

Out digitally on September 10 through Metallica's Blackened Recordings, the star-studded, 53-track tribute record will celebrate the thrash legends' classic self-titled LP, also known as 'The Black Album'. Head here for further details.

Among the acts to have contributed to the project are St Vincent, Biffy Clyro, Diet Cig, J Balvin, Idles, Mac DeMarco, Rina Sawayama and Slipknot's Corey Taylor.

Metallica will play a string of North American festivals this fall, along with two hometown gigs at San Francisco's Chase Center in December, the centerpiece of a celebration marking their 40th birthday. They also have European festival dates in the diary for summer 2022.
