New Order Announce September Show At The Piece Hall Halifax

New Order have announced a new outdoor UK show.
The legendary band will perform at The Piece Hall in Halifax on September 8, with support coming from Lonelady. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on August 6. Nicky Chance-Thompson DL, Chief Executive of The Piece Hall Trust, said:
“We are so excited to welcome the brilliant New Order, together with LoneLady to our courtyard, completing our top line up of talent for this summer’s ‘Live at The Piece Hall’ gigs. An iconic band playing an iconic venue - what could be better! “We’ve been working hard, behind the scenes, to ensure we can welcome everyone, safely, to our outdoor courtyard area. This will be a gig to remember. As their last album put it, Music Complete.”
The quintet released the new live album ‘Education Entertainment Recreation' in May. It was recorded during their performance at London's Alexandra Palace on November 9, 2018, their only UK show of that year. They played old and new material, as well as Joy Division tracks.
New Order will also play a huge show at Manchester's Heaton Park on September 10, joined by special guests Hot Chip, and Working Men's Club. The concert will precede their rescheduled London show at the O2 Arena on November 6. The COVID-19 pandemic also forced the band to rearrange their co-headline North American tour with Pet Shop Boys to autumn 2022.
