Billie Marten Releases Video For New Single Liquid Love

Billie Marten has dropped a video for her song, Liquid Love.
The soft, acoustic daydream features on the Yorkshire singer-songwriter's third album, 'Flora Fauna', released in May via Fiction Records.
The clip, meanwhile, was directed by Joe Wheatley, who also helmed the videos for her previous singles Creature Of Mine and Human Replacement. Marten said:
"This is my favourite of the Joe Wheatley visual trio. Initially I wanted the video to match the swirling, translucent watery-ness of Liquid Love, something meandering and dreamlike. I’d pictured blues and pinks, ripples, skin, wet hair and a visceral picture of real life. In the end I think we (me and Joe) managed just that, through the sheer power of simplicity and understatement. It paints a natural tranquillity, using the tokens of community, friendship, family, love and warmth. All those things I was craving and pining for at the time of writing. It feels incredibly real to me as the song does too, and we weren’t acting, we were living."
The 22-year-old will support the record with a previously announced UK tour beginning on September 16 in Glasgow. She also has a matinée performance at Lancaster Library in the diary for September 12.
