Eels Set January Release For New Album 'Extreme Witchcraft', Post First Single

Eels have shared details of their 14th studio album.
'Extreme Witchcraft' will arrive via E Works/[PIAS] on January 28, following up 2020's 'Earth To Dora', which the band has not been able to tour behind just yet, though they're due to head out for the Lockdown Hurricane Tour in spring 2022.
Co-produced by band leader Mark 'E' Oliver Everett and PJ Harvey producer and guitarist John Parish, the record marks the first time the two have recorded together since 2001's 'Souljacker'. Everett said:
"John Parish is one of the most even-tempered, polite people I’ve ever met. A true gentleman. Actually he’s probably THE most polite person I’ve ever met. But when he gets into the studio he becomes a mad scientist. If you make music with John Parish, you get stuff no one else does. He has a really unique toolbox and musical outlook. Perhaps his politeness is a coping mechanism to keep Mr. Hyde under control when he’s out of his laboratory."
As a preview of the new record, the group have unveiled Good Night On Earth, a fuzzed-up, noise-rock number set to a driving beat, with lyrics that put a positive spin on our bin fire of a planet. Check it out below, alongside the LP's artwork and tracklist.
