Red Hot Chili Peppers are teasing a world stadium tour in 2022.
With returning guitarist John Frusciante, the band have unveiled a comical video featuring fictional local news station KHOT.
In the Anchorman-inspired clip, the musician reveals to newscasters Johnson Hammerswaddle, Todd the Squirrel, and Randy Raindrops that Red Hot Chili Peppers are to embark on a global tour in June 2022—with the US leg set to begin in July of that year. Take a look below.
An accompanying press release confirms that, "all the tour dates, sales information, support acts and other factoids will be available shortly."
The group's last studio album and 11th overall came in the form of 'The Getaway', released in 2016.
