Snail Mail has dropped a new single, Ben Franklin.
It's the second preview of Lindsey Jordan's recently announced second album, 'Valentine', following the title track. Arriving with a video directed by Josh Coll, the introspective song sets the tone with vulnerable vocals over programmed drums and synths. Discussing it, she commented:
"I wanted to sonically and lyrically get out of my comfort zone with Ben Franklin. It felt only right that the visual accompaniment should include dancing in front of a camera and holding a 10-foot snake close to my face."
The follow-up to 2018's 'Lush' will arrive on November 5 via Matador, ahead of a previously announced tour, which begins on November 27 in the United States. In February, she'll head to the UK, followed by stops in major European cities, returning stateside for more gigs in the spring.
