Cat Power Shares I'll Be Seeing You And Unhate From Upcoming 'Covers' Album

Cat Power, aka Chan Marshall, has shared two songs.
I'll Be Seeing You and Unhate will feature on the singer's upcoming album, 'Covers', due out on January 14.
The former is a faithful take on the Billie Holiday track, inspired by the death of her close friend and collaborator Philippe Zdar. It comes paired with a Greg Hunt-directed music video influenced by the Holiday era. The latter is a smoother, pumped-up version of Marshall's own stripped-back song Hate, from her 2006 album 'The Greatest'. She said:
"When people who you love have been taken from you, there’s always a song that holds their memory in your mind. It’s a conversation with those on the other side, and it’s really important for me to reach out to people that way."
Marshall will support the record with a North American tour from January through to May, followed by a European tour in the summer. Tickets are on sale now.
