Sea Girls Unveil Lyric Video For Hometown

Friday, 17 December 2021 Written by Jon Stickler

Sea Girls have shared a video for their latest track, Hometown.

Originally premiered on BBC Radio 1 in November, the track will feature on the band's upcoming second studio album, 'Homesick', due out on March 25 via Polydor Records. It follows the previously unveiled cuts, Again Again and Sick.

The clip, meanwhile, shows footage of the group's recent gig at London's O2 Academy Brixton. Singer Henry Camamile said:

"Every hometown has its own identity - all of them are exciting and rewarding to visit for different reasons. We made this video from footage of one show on the tour - it’s just one of those special stories. We want to be a part of your story, you're already a part of ours."

He added: "Hometown is one of the most important songs I've written. It’s about people I knew growing up that aren't around anymore. I'm saying ‘I see you’ - it’s a nod to them. I'm grateful for life and I am not going to jeopardise it in any way."

They've also confirmed intimate UK outstore performances for May, to celebrate the release of the LP. Stops include Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Dundee, Sheffield, Bristol, Bournmouth, Kingston, and Nottingham. Tickets are on sale now.

They'll also appear at next year's Live At Leeds, the Isle Of Wight Festival, Y Not? Festival, and Kendal Calling.
