The Weeknd Shares Video For 2011 Track Echoes of Silence

Tuesday, 21 December 2021 Written by Laura Johnson

The Weeknd has shared a video for Echoes of Silence.

The track appears on his 2011 mixtape of the same name, while the impressive new clip was helmed by creative director Hajime Sorayama and CG director Hirokazu Yokohara.

'Echoes of Silence' is one of three mixtapes that Abel Tesfaye released that year, the others being 'House of Balloons' and 'Thursday'. This year, all of the releases were uploaded to streaming services for the first time.

It's the second time recently that the Canadian artist has releasd a video for an old track. In November, he posted a new one for Die For You from his 2016 LP 'Starboy'.

The Weeknd's latest album is 2020's 'After Hours'. More recently, he appeared on the posthumous Aaliyah song Poison, collaborated with FKA Twigs for the new single Tears In The Club, and with Post Malone on One Right Now.
