Mick Jagger has released a new solo song, Strange Game.

The bluesy, dark and atmospheric track was co-written, recorded and performed by The Rolling Stones frontman with film composer Daniel Pemberton. It serves as the theme tune for the new Apple Original series Slow Horses.

The 78-year-old teased the tune earlier this week, posting to Twitter: "I’ve been working on a fun project with the composer Daniel Pemberton… look out for it coming soon!"

Starring Gary Oldman, the six-part series is based on the acclaimed books by British thriller novelist Mick Herron. Olivia Cooke, Jonathan Pryce, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Jack Lowden also star in the series.

The Rolling Stones have some huge UK shows scheduled for the summer, with a gig lined up at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium on June 9, and BST Hyde Park shows in London on June 25 and July 3, as part of a wider European tour celebrating their 60th anniversary. Tickets for the SIXTY Tour are on sale now.

The rock veterans recently revealed details of a new live album, 'Live At The El Mocambo', due out in May.
