Rina Sawayama Announces New Album 'Hold The Girl'

Tuesday, 17 May 2022 Written by Jon Stickler

Rina Sawayama has announced a new album.

The follow-up to her 2020 debut 'Sawayama' is called 'Hold The Girl' and will arrive on September 2. The news comes after select people were sent banners and leaflets featuring the words "Rina Is Going To Hell", with the rising alt-pop star also wiping and updating her Instagram page earlier in May.

Having teased a new song on the final date of her Dynasty Tour at New York's Terminal 5 last week, she has now unveiled an intense trailer featuring snippets of music from the forthcoming LP.

In August 2021, Sawayama shared a cover of Enter Sandman, which appears on the star-studded tribute album celebrating the 30th anniversary of Metallica's self-titled LP, better known as 'The Black Album'.
