Rina Sawayama Covers Enter Sandman For 'The Metallica Blacklist', Idles Take On The God That Failed

Rina Sawayama has shared her cover of Enter Sandman.
The Japanese-British singer and songwriter's take on the classic Metallica hit takes thing in a more industrial direction than the original while showing off her vocal prowess. Idles, meanwhile, have given The God That Failed a frantic post-punk makeover.
The tracks will appear on the star-studded tribute album celebrating the 30th anniversary of Metallica's self-titled LP, better known as 'The Black Album', that arrives digitally on September 10. Alongside the new cuts, the band have shared a 1991 rough mix of The God That Failed. Listen to all three below.
Metallica, meanwhile, will appear at North American festivals this fall, along with two hometown gigs at San Francisco's Chase Center in December, the centerpiece of a celebration marking their 40th birthday. They also have European festivals in the diary for summer 2022.
Rina Sawayama released her debut album, 'SAWAYAMA', in 2020 and will support it with the The Dynasty Tour, which will head to North America this autumn and across the UK and Ireland in November.
Idles, meanwhile, put out 'Ultra Mono' last year and are currently supporting it with a UK tour of intimate venues. Check out the rest of their upcoming dates, of which there are many, here.
