Lil Nas X has shared a new song, Late To Da Party.
The joint single with YoungBoy Never Broke Again marks the American rapper's first new material since the release of his 2021 debut album, 'Montero'.
After teasing it earlier in June, Lil Nas X has used the song to hit out at Black Entertainment Television (BET) after he failed to receive a nomination for any of this year's BET Awards.
He previously fired shots at the organisation on Twitter, posting a series of since-deleted tweets, before sharing a spoof of the iconic Star Wars title crawl outlining the concept of the track's accompanying Gibson Hazard-directed music video.
The song rolls out over a punchy beat and features the repeated chant, "Fuck BET!" The artwork for the single also shows a BET Award trophy being urinated on.
Lil Nas X will bring the Long Live Montero Tour to London's Eventim Apollo on November 12 as part of the European leg. He also has North American dates in the diary for September and October. Tickets are on sale.
