Dan Snaith To Release New Album 'Cherry' Under Daphni Moniker

Thursday, 30 June 2022 Written by Laura Johnson

Dan Snaith has announced his new album will be released under his Daphni moniker.

'Cherry' is due out on October 7 and boasts a 14-strong tracklist, which includes the previously shared title track and newly unveiled single Cloudy. The latter is a nearly seven-minute, piano-led piece dealing in skittering beats and samples. Press play below.

Snaith's latest LP, 2020's 'Suddenly', was released under his other moniker, Caribou. His last Daphni album, meanwhile, was 2017's 'Joli Mai', though he did share the 'Sizzling' EP in 2019. Snaith's also previously put out records under the name Manitoba.

He's got numerous Caribou gigs lined up at festivals across Europe and in the US this summer, as well as a Warehouse Project show in Manchester with Bonobo on August 26 and a set at Bristol's Forwards festival on September 4.
