Forwards is a new inner city music festival based in Bristol.
Launched in 2022, the festival spans over two days and champions music as a means of positive change. Hosting two music stages, plus a space for debate on current affairs and cultural issues and more, featuring experts, activists, artists and thinkers, it has previously hosted performances from Raye, Jamie xx, Loyle Carner, Arlo Parks, The Chemical Brothers, Little Simz, Khruangbin, Fred Again.., Erykah Badu, Barry Can't Swim, Jessie Ware, Kojey Radical, Confidence Man, Jorja Smith, Amyl & The Sniffers, Olivia Dean, Maribou State, Jockstrap, Sleaford Mods, Kae Tempest, Self Esteem and many more. Forwards Festival will return to Bristol Downs in August 2026, with headliners Tems, SELF ESTEEM, Wet Leg, Little Simz, Amyl and The Sniffers and Dijon.
