Fever 333 have shared their first studio track in three years.

The fiery, electronic-leaning $wing offers aggressive, rap-rock vocals that attack the sports industry's historical exploitation of people of colour. Dealing in punky, distorted guitars and big breakdowns, it comes with a DJay Brawner-directed video..

It arrives as the band expand to a four-piece, with frontman Jason Aalon Butler joined by guitarist Brandon Davis, bassist April Kae and drummer Thomas Pridgen (ex-The Mars Volta), after guitarist Stephen Harrison and drummer Aric Improta announced last October they were leaving the fold.

Commenting on the message of the song, Butler said:

"In a system that exploits the aforementioned instruments of power (the people) for financial and political advancement, we must collectively understand and redirect the dynamic once we realize that we are not powerless against it.

"$wing is a sonic reminder that you are the power that they seek and you are the resource they need."

This summer, they'll appear at various European and US festivals, including Germany's Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park, the UK's Download festival, France's Hellfest, and Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky.
