Jack Johnson has announced a live album and benefit concert to raise funds for those affected by the devastating fires that have swept over the Hawaiian island Maui.

'Songs For Maui' comprises 10 tracks recorded live at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center's Castle Theater during the singer-songwriter's 2012 Hawaiian islands tour. Featuring musician friends Paula Fuga and John Cruz, it'll arrive digitally on September 15 through Brushfire and Republic Records.

Johnson, who was born in Oahu, Hawaii, will also perform an intimate benefit concert at The Republik in Honolulu two days after the record's release, joined by Fuga and Cruz. Johnson said:

"All our love is going to our friends and family on Maui right now. As we began to brainstorm ways we could support the community, we found tracks from an acoustic show from 2012 that Paula, John and I played at the MACC on Maui. While listening to the songs we thought back to the time we spent that spring, both on stage but also bonding with our Maui ‘ohana. We know it will be a long road ahead. We hope the positive energy from this show can carry on to help raise funds and support families in need. Aloha, Jack."

All proceeds from the album and concert will be directed toward fire relief efforts and ongoing support for the Maui community. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (September 8). Head here for more information.

Johnson will also headline Ocean's Calling Festival at Ocean City Boardwalk, Maryland on September 29.
