Marika Hackman has released a new single called Slime.
The slow-building, pillowy ballad devles into the excitement at the start of a romantic relationship, and comes with a video co-directed by the singer-songwriter and Anne-Sofie Lindgaard. Sharing the song, Hackman said:
"It’s a reflection of the destruction that can be caused when you get together with someone and there are other factors at play. On the one hand you have a new thing that’s really exciting and hot and lusty but there can also be a lot of storm clouds floating around, a lot of fall-out socially."
Following No Caffeine and Hanging, it serves as the third preview of her new album, 'Big Sigh', due out on January 12.
Hackman will support the follow-up to 2020's 'Covers' and 2019's 'Any Human Friend' with a UK and European tour in the spring. Tickets are on sale now.
